The world of music is varied and adaptable; making it something that everyone can have a piece of. From a young age, to an old one there is a genre of music that you can enjoy.
For some, this is orchestral music associated with classical music. This is a musical ensembles with many different instruments ranging from string, bass, woodwind to percussion sections. Though it is a form that evolved and changed over the years leading to the twentieth century, it has remained much the same since this time meaning the orchestras of today are very similar to the ones our (great) grandparents might have visited a hundred years ago.
The distinction can be made between a symphony/philharmonic orchestra and a chamber orchestra, with the latter being a smaller size ensemble that consists of fifty musicians or less. A symphony/philharmonic orchestra (the two names don’t denote any difference and are usually used to distinguish between orchestras in similar areas) can include around a hundred musicians.
When we think of music we usually think of popstars and wailing guitars, but there is a whole world out there that includes classical and orchestral music, and it is likely to remain in practice for years to come.
